A Little Bit About Me

I have long been interested in becoming a doula. I first learned what a doula was when scouring the internet. I read and read and read and fell in love with the idea of helping mommas bring new life into the world. I decided, however, that I would wait until I had gone through pregnancy and labor myself before pursuing doula work. I now have two wonderful children.

I have completed doula training and am currently studying midwifery here in the San Francisco Bay Area through the National Midwifery Institute. In January of 2006, I completed an acupressure/Jin Shin Jyutsu for Birth workshop.

It is my dream to one day run a birth center, where women can have a safe labor and childbirth experience in comfortable home-like surroundings.
